About This Organization

Head Start (HS) Childcare Program - 3 to 4 yrs. oldCategory: Children / YouthOverviewChildren will receive full day/full year care because of parent employment or educational pursuit. Children will receive a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Children will experience quality early education care with developmentally appropriate materials and practices provided by educated and experienced staff.BenefitsChildren will receive school readiness experiences as well as developmental screenings and assessments. Medical, mental health, nutrition, and dental services are also provided. Families will have opportunities for parenting education, referrals to community resources, and volunteer experiences.

Who is Eligible?

Head Start generally serves children ages 3 to 5 who meet local eligibility requirements. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.
