About This Organization

Comprehensive prenatal support and parent education to pregnant mothers• Comprehensive health services to children and families pre-birth to five years old• Comprehensive social services support to familiesFamily Service Advocates help children and their families through providing services to support and strengthen their relationships. The strength and quality of these relationships are vital for child development during rapid periods of social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Parents are supported to recreate and build on activities learned in a classroom setting.

Who is Eligible?

Head Start generally serves children ages 3 to 5 who meet local eligibility requirements. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

How to Apply

KidZKount programs are developmentally appropriate and use a combination of relationship-based and developmentally-oriented approaches to facilitate learning and development.
