About This Organization

Options Head Start families receive the benefits of the program without cost to them. Families must qualify by meeting the Federal Eligibility Guidelines. Family income eligibility may be waived for some families with children who have been identified with or as having special needs.

Who is Eligible?

Head Start generally serves children ages 3 to 5 who meet local eligibility requirements. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

How can I get enrolled?Call our main office at (626) 459-4299.Meet federal income guidelines (can be waived for child with an I.E.P.).Child must be 3-4 years old based on the school district cut off date.Live in the Options Head Start service area of Covina, West Covina, San Gabriel, Glendora, South El Monte, Monrovia and Northeast Los Angeles.
