About This Organization

The One Hope United Child Development Program supports both working and at-risk families by providing accessible, affordable, high-quality child care and early education to encourage the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of children. Our ten state-licensed facilities are staffed by dedicated early childhood professionals who strive to prepare children for lifelong learning.

Who is Eligible?

Head Start generally serves children ages 3 to 5 who meet local eligibility requirements. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

Families are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply

tu i t i o n & fe e s :Subsidized tuition is available to qualifying families through the Illinois Department of Human Services. Contact the Center for more details.NOTE: Enrollment priority is given to children who will be 4 years old by Sept. 1. One Hope United will provide transportationassistance (bus passes) on a limited basis for parents that are in need and have exhausted all other resources.
