The Little Angels Head Start Program is a Federal Program for preschool children from low-income families with 14 locations through out the Bronx and Manhattan servicing over 1600 students, our early childhood development program will provide pre-school age children with enjoyable, rich and meaningful experiences. In planning these experiences for young children, we foster growth and development by placing emphasis in the four domins of social, emotional, physical and mental development. These areas of learning are not independent...........they are interralated, making each one important in developing positive individuals. Implementation of Head Start services encompasses several different program aspects; Program Design and Management, Policy Council & Policy Committee, Early Childhood Development Services, Family Partnerships, Community Partnerships, Disabilities, Health Services, Nutrition and Mental Health. These services direct parents towards the wide array of services that are offered and provide guidance to the families to become more self-sufficient.Head Start helps all children succeed. Services are offered to meet the special needs of children with disabilities. Most children in Early Learn are between the ages of 3 and 5 years old. Services are also available to families who need family day care, this is done by providing fee for service extended day.
