About This Organization

Head Start is a comprehensive early childhood education program providing services to income eligible families with children ages three and four.

Who is Eligible?

Head Start generally serves children ages 3 to 5 who meet local eligibility requirements. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

JCEO Head Start 2011-2012 Recruitment CampaignJCEO Head Start has started their recruitment campaign for the 2011-12 school year. Head Start is a comprehensive early childhood program that provides services to low-income children and their families. Services are offered in both Clinton and Franklin Counties. If you know a child who may meet income guidelines and will be 3 or 4 yrs old by Dec. 1, 2011 call Debbie Hurley @ 561-6310/Clinton or Emily @ 483-7022/Franklin.
