About This Organization

Grace Hill is a grantee of the Head Start program, serving 1,500 3 to 5 year old children and their families in St. Louis City. This comprehensive program is designed to foster the healthy development of young children, providing services to promote academic, social and emotional development, as well as providing social, health and nutrition services for income-eligible families. Head Start is a federally program recognized as one of the most cost-effective and successful programs in the nation for children.

Who is Eligible?

Head Start generally serves children ages 3 to 5 who meet local eligibility requirements. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

ENROLL NOW IN HEAD START! Grace Hill Head Start is now enrolling students in our licensed, inclusive, early childhood program. Head start is a national program that enhances the social and cognitive development of kids and provides educational, health, nutritional, and other services to enrolled children and their families.
