About This Organization
At Geminus Head Start, we offer preschool and government assisted child care services. Our preschool program is available for children ages three to five. We welcome disabled children and kids of all genders, cultures, languages, ethnicity and family structures. With Geminus Head Start, your child will get a great start in our preschool as all of our teachers are fully certified to teach.
Who is Eligible?
Head Start generally serves children ages 3 to 5 who meet local eligibility requirements.
Pregnant women and
children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and
families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for
services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be
eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some
grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines
as well.

How to Apply
Applications are now being accepted for the Geminus Head Start and Early Head Start Programs.Eligibility for these comprehensive pre-school programs is determined in the following way:Head Start: 1.Must be 3 by August 1 of current year (Birth Certificate required) 2. Present a copy of your child’s immunization record3. Document your income for the past 12 months (W-2’s—Tax return--- SSI---TANF documentation---Child Support---Pay Stubs---Unemployment Compensation) 4. Children with disabilities ( IEP’s) are also eligible Early Head Start: Pregnant women and children from birth to age 3 are eligible. 1. Present a copy of Birth Certificate 2. Immunization record required 3. Income documentation required for last 12 months 4. Children with IFSP’s are also eligible
