Head Start is our largest and best known program providing educational, physical and mental health, and nutritional services to children 3 to 5 years of age. Who is Eligible?

Head Start generally serves children ages 3 to 5 who meet local eligibility requirements. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

How to Apply

Please Apply Immediately! For Enrollment Information:1. Call us at 719.635.1536 and ask for Enrollment.2. Visit our enrollment office any time Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. We are located at 2330 Robinson St., Colorado Springs, CO. 80904 (Map below). Please bring your child's birth certificate, immunization record, your picture ID and your family's proof of income (i.e. W-2's, income tax forms, TANF award letter, SSI, LES, Foster Care, pay stubs). In order to expedite the application process, please complete the application below before coming to enroll.
