About This Organization

The program serives children ranging from 0-3 years of age. The teachers encourage social interaction. While Free Play is vital at the center, their skills are developed as they reach their developmental milestones. The goal of the program is to help the parent understand development of their child on a day-to-day and week-to-week basis.

Who is Eligible?

Head Start generally serves children ages 3 to 5 who meet local eligibility requirements. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

How to Apply

How does an individual enroll in the program? Applying for Head Start services is a simple process. Contact the CACOST Head Start 0-5 Program in your community. An application for admission is completed and submitted to the Enrollment Coordinator. Copies of birth certificate, social security card, immunization record, medical insurance, proof of benefits and proof of income should be submitted with your application.
