The Head Start program is for low income families. NOW COMES THE FUN PART--LOTS OF PAPERWORK! Notice: Our Head Start Application is online so that you can print it out to attach to all the required documentation. Your application will not be considered complete until we have the printed application and copies of all of the following papers: Child's birth certificate. Child's shot record. Proof of your family's income. That means all in the household who are working or receiving income of any kind that contribute to the child's well being. Proof of income includes 3 consecutive current check stubs OR a letter from your employer stating what you make OR your current income tax return OR your last W-2 Form. It also includes grant award letters such as Pell Grant, court letters awarding child support or LES for military families.
