EARLY HEAD START ENROLLMENT - Pregnant women - children 24 months Age Children must be 6 weeks - 24 months old by Septbember 1 to attend center-based classes. Pregnant women and children newborn - 24 months old may participate in a home-visit program. Income Your child will qualify if your income is within the Federal Poverty Guidelines. In addition, some children may be accepted from families whose income is over the Federal Poverty Guidelines, if they have special needs. Child/Family Needs Children with disabilities or from families with special or difficult circumstances are considered even though their income is not within the Poverty Guidelines. If you are unsure whether you meet the qualifications, go to the Locations & Contact Info page and contact the center nearest you. The following program options are available: In each of the 3 communities with Early Head Start programs, a home visit program is available for 9-10 pregnant women or families with infants and/or toddlers.
