About / How to Apply

How do I enroll my child? The first step is to call the center nearest you. You will be asked general questions to determine eligibility. If you are eligible based on where you live and income level, an appointment will be scheduled for you to meet with one of our family advocates. Even if you are determined to be eligible, unfortunately, we cannot enroll all eligible children since we are funded and only have room for a certain number of children. Enrollment determination is based on family need. If you are not accepted into the program, you will be placed on a waiting list. The family advocate can also refer you to other programs to help you pay for child care and/or preschool, such as a child care subsidy through the Suffolk County Department of Social Services and the Universal Pre-kindergarten program through your local school district.
