About / How to Apply

ENROLLINGEligible children will be selected and enrolled. Children are accepted at centers located in the area in which they live. In some circumstances children can enroll in centers in other service areas if slots are available.Parents must perform the following tasks to enroll their child in UCAC Head Start:Provide documentation of the total family income before a child can be enrolled. This proof of income can be in the form of a wage and tax statement (W-2), a check stub, written statement from the employer, or agency certification (welfare, Social Security, Veterans Administration', etc.) . Present a certified birth certificate or proof from hospital verifying child's birth before enrollment in the Head Start center. UCAC Head Start will provide assistance to parents who are having difficulty in securing a certified copy of their child's birth record. Complete and submit the following forms.
