The program is a preschool program for children in low-income families. Children in Head Start are between the ages of three (3) and five (5) years of age. The program assists children in becoming physically, socially, intellectually, and emotionally adjusted. Services are also offered to meet the special needs of the children with disabilities. Head Start classrooms are in various locations through-out the county and meet the license requirements as set forth by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
Bring the following information to Register:
Child's Birth Certificate (The Child must be 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1st)
Child's Social Security Card
Child's Health Insurance Card
Documentation of Residency
Documentation of Family Income ("2" most recent Paycheck Stubs)
Documentation of Public Assistance (SSI, TANF, Housing, Food Stamps, Medicaid)
Disability Documentation (Recommended but NOT required)
